Etsy Shop Merger

I recently had the Quiet Tiger etsy shop name changed. It has gone through a lot of name changes since it opened in 2006, but the latest change is the final one. I'm getting ready to retire my knitting needles for good this year, but I don't want to lose all the people who have followed my shop over the years. I also didn't like managing multiple etsy shops. My print shop on etsy doesn't do all that well in comparison to the Quiet Tiger etsy shop or my official shop that runs on Shopify. I wanted a way to combine all my existing etsy shops into one. So that's why I chose to change the name to By Nellie Le. I think it's a good transitional name but also gives it flexibility to carry products that don't exactly fit within my illustration world. From today on, this is the best place to find me on etsy.

Button News!

Tonight, I cranked out some new buttons featuring my Lucky Cat! They're now available in the shop!

We (Kevin, actually) also just ordered a new button maker. We're upgrading to 1.5inch buttons! That means we can finally put more detailed images on buttons. All my previous designs that didn't make the cut (because they looked like crap on an 1inch button) now have a second chance. I'm just super excited about all the new possibilities that come with a bigger image surface. So stay tuned for more new stuff!

I released a new print this week & it's now in the shop!

This skipping CD player is for the upcoming 90s Nostalgia show hosted by A Little Known Shop. I will have a table at the event along with some great local artists. I hope to see you there!

Upcoming Studio Sale!

Hey Peeps,

I’m not going to be at any of the Renegade Craft Summer shows this year. I decided to sit it out to save my energy for the Holiday shows. In the meantime, I’m going to have a quick little Studio Sale in the next week or so. I’m going to have some small, affordable originals for sale.

I was flirting with the idea of doing a flash sale on Instagram, but I like running it through a shop so people can shop at their convenience and also not have to wait on PayPal invoices. Now I’m just trying to decide if I want to have it on the main shop on bigcartel or if it’s going to run separately on storenvy. Chime in if you have a preference.

My Life is Kinda Complete

Last week, I was featured in the fashion section of Frankie Magazine's blog.  I was super excited and extremely honored to be featured by them. They're my favorite art & lifestyle magazine from Australia. It's currently Autumn there, so my hats are perfect for the weather.

For the past couple of years, my friend Janie from Janie XY would joke that I'm famous in Australia because I get a good amount of orders from down under. Well, now I am actually kinda famous in Australia! I'm also super stoked about this because in the past, Frankie has featured quite a few of my friends. So at the start of 2014, one of my goals was to eventually make it into Frankie. Although, I didn't get published in the actual magazine, this is pretty darn close!

Mark Your Calendars for Renegade Craft Holiday!

This Holiday season, you'll have two chances to come shop from me IN PERSON! I'm proud to announce that I will be at Renegade Craft Fair LA + SF. Once again, I'll be sharing a booth with the boyfriend. And unlike summer, this time I'll have plenty of knitted goodies to help you get through the colder months. I also will have some new prints available (to be announced soon).

And if the hats shown above look familiar, it's because they're my hand-knit hats! Yep, the Renegade gang used a pic they took of my stuff (last year) for one of this year's promo images. I'm so honored to be a part of a great community of makers.
